About This Answer

A meditator whose head keeps dropping while focusing on the tip of the nose asks whether it is all right to place attention at the crown of the head instead, and whether this might cause dizziness or a feeling of floating out of the body.

Ajahn Dtun answers that one should do whatever is needed to make the mind peaceful, recalling his saying that there are many ways to catch a fish. Focusing on the top of the head is quite all right and safe, and there is no need to worry about the mind floating away.
