About This Teaching
Ajahn Dtun says concentration is strengthened through sustained mindfulness: keep extending the periods in which mindfulness stays focused, and concentration grows stronger.
This is done by practising often in the formal postures of sitting and walking meditation, establishing mindfulness throughout. He adds that outside formal practice one should still stay aware of one's own mind; whenever you notice mindfulness has lapsed, re-establish it and be aware of your thinking.
