About This Teaching
Ajahn Dtun teaches that genuine practice means learning to understand and correct our own mind. When emotions, laziness, drowsiness or other defilements arise, the task is not merely to react to them but to know what is happening and train the mind wisely.
Steady meditation and mindfulness create the stability needed to recognize unwholesome states before they carry us away. As awareness becomes stronger, wisdom can see their causes and choose a more skillful response.
The work is personal and immediate: know the mind, train it repeatedly, and learn how to bring it back toward clarity and peace.
