About This Teaching
In this text Short, Ajahn Chah observes that people study and search among good and evil, right and wrong, but know nothing of what lies beyond both.
They want to take only what is right and ignore what is wrong, yet whatever is held as right soon turns wrong again, because right leads to wrong. People keep searching among pairs of opposites, good and bad, long and short, and do not look for what is neither. The passage points beyond choosing one side of a pair toward understanding that is free of both.
