About This Teaching
Ajahn Dtun is asked how one creates the causes to be able to ordain in a future life. He answers that the five precepts should become one's normal way of living, with the eight precepts kept on occasions when the opportunity arises.
He adds that one should keep developing mindfulness and concentration, and make an adhitthana, a resolution, that should there be future lives one may have the chance to ordain. Setting the mind toward ordination in this way, he says, is how one practises toward it.
